The Bank of Ceylon BOC Job story began on August 1st, 1939, when Sir Andrew Caldecott, the Governor of Ceylon, officially opened the first office of Sri Lanka’s first state-owned commercial bank in Fort, Colombo.

According to the Banking Act No. 30 of 1988, BOC was created as a commercial bank with a license. The registered office can be found at Bank of Ceylon Mawatha, No. 1, BOC Square, Colombo 1, Sri Lanka.

After more than 80 years of illustrious operation, the Bank is now firmly established as Sri Lanka’s top provider of financial services, providing a wide range of services including commercial banking, trade finance, development financing, mortgage financing, lease financing, investment banking, corporate financing, dealing in government securities, pawn brokering, credit card facilities, off-shore banking, foreign exchange operations, and other financial services. In terms of assets, deposits, and remittances of foreign currency, BOC is in the forefront.
